Crazy Old Pokewoman Gotta Catch Em All?
I found these images yesterday while I was searching the depths of my hard drive for a new Facebook profile photo. I took them during the summer of 2007 in a fresh foods market in St. Petersburg, Russia (yay for family vacations). I really don’t know what to tell you other than the fact that two years later, these pictures still confuse me. I guess she had to catch em all?

You see, back when I was an obnoxious high school student, I partook in an amazing prank orchestrated by one of my teachers. So the big three are a little bit screwed right now. If they are going to survive, they are going to need either a massive government loan (no comment) or a massive increase in the demand for their cars. The sad fact of the matter is though that due to decades worth of poor product decisions, that demand simply doesn’t exist. Even though the big three are finally beginning to offer competitive vehicles, the perception of quality just isn’t there. The thing is though that there is a huge gap in the market that no car company, not even Honda or Toyota, has been able to fill. What I am trying to say is that although there are companies that are building great cars, there are no companies building cars with the features that I really want.

I have to give it to Toyota. The Prius hybrid was perfectly timed, and perfectly marketed. Not so much a car as a cultural icon, the eco-friendly Prius brand has made and likely will continue to make lots of money for Toyota as the world continues to gulp down oil. The thing is though; the actual environmental impact of driving a Prius is questionable. Where it might save on gas, the toxic nickel used in its batteries isn’t helping anybody. The Many Uses of Adobe Photoshop
One of my absolute favorite pieces of software is Adobe Photoshop. It is incredibly useful and powerful, but for the average person, its extensive features and hefty price tag can be a bit much. For non-professionals, there are much cheaper and even free alternatives that are also great tools for working with images. Regardless of this fact, I still own a copy, and I am not even a graphic designer.
